21 Oct 2026 D9675 End Polio Train Ride Oct 21, 2026 World Polio Day falls on 24 October, and each year Rotarians mark the occasion by taking to the rails for the End Polio Train Ride — travelling the entire Sydney train network in a single day, visiting all 189 stations, to raise funds for the Rotary END POLIO NOW campaign. Every dollar raised is matched 2:1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. I'll be riding the train this year and would love your support — whether that's joining me for part of the day or contributing to the cause. Since Rotary began its immunisation effort in 1985, polio cases have dropped from over 350,000 a year to just a handful worldwide — let's help finish the job.
31 Oct 2026 Fashion Showing & High Tea Oct 31, 2026 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Members of the Rotary Club of Fairy Meadow are proud to announce our annual High Tea Fundraiser for KAIROS Outside is on again at Corrimal RSL on Saturday 31st October starting at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available now at $55 pp The High Tea will be preceeded by a Fashion Showing presented by Scremlins Designs Ladieswear when you will be able to order garments. KAIROS Outside, the recipients of this fundraising event, provides support to women who have been impacted by the imprisonment of a family member or friend. Registration will close on Wednesday 30th September at 11:59 p.m. and there will be a Wait List. If you are unable to attend or you would like to make a donation as well as attending, you can make a donation during the registration process.
